For the most part, this album left me feeling as though the band is competent, while uninspired. The song that particularly grabbed my interest was "Death Of Seasons" which struck me with its organic feel: it builds to a crescendo and then has the honesty to show its singer, burnt out and exhausted, straining to maintain the raging scream-sing that has made them so popular.
The other track/songs of note were the epilogue. The first track was more of the same fare that we hear through the rest of the album, but the two epilogues ("First" and "Second Hidden Track" have more integrity than most of the rest of the album. The first hidden track plays a minimalisitic piano part over some creepy, ambient speech tracks. The second approached "Death Of Seasons" in its intensity.
