Out of respect for the tastes for someone close to me, I won't say anything too harsh. My main beef with the album is that there's nothing to it that makes it stand out from the bajillion other bands that sound quite similar. Granted, it's a bit harder, but the album suffers from too-personal lyrics that feel unaccessible without an intimate understanding of the band's history.
