Obviously, I quite liked this album. A big part of that is that I haven't heard anything quite like it before. The whole thing has a near-ethereal tone, capped off with powerful climaxes, often accompanied by Frusciante's strong, but unrefined falsetto. Some of the songs don't quite match the highly-set standard, but there isn't what I would call a weak track in the bunch.
