White Blood Cells is a strong album, but out of the three that I've heard (this one, Elephant, and Icky Thump), it's probably my least favourite. Many of my favourite White Stripes tracks capture a kind of mundane whimsy, allowing for wonderful songs to be written about simple matters. This album has a few such tracks ("We're Going To Be Friends," especially), but as an overall it's a more hit-and-miss experience than Icky Thump, especially.
I was a little disappointed by the weakness of some of the lyrics. Considering the ability shown elsewhere to write simple, clever songs, it's a big distraction from the stronger tracks herewithin.
