"I'm All Right" is a pretty solid opening ditty, with its solid, affirmative lyrics. Most of the rest of the album, however, plays out like the kind of album you'd expect to half-hear while sipping your non-fat, mocha grande latte espresso with low-fat whipped cream at Starbucks. It's mostly unadventurous, although not unenjoyable cool jazz tunes over a competent backing band.

There were to other tracks that stood out. "Half The Perfect World" shows a slightly more gritty, vulnerable voice for Peyroux. The sax solo also doesn't suck. "La Javanaise" takes the shortcut to my heart by singing in French. It also starts with a string combo rather than the jazz ensemble heard on the rest of the album (and the second half of the song).
