I was immediately surprised by how unremarkable this album was. As the latest non-live release from a band that I have reluctantly learned to enjoy, a lot more songs landed on the "miss" side of the hit-or-miss scale.

"Weird Fishes/Arpeggi" builds off of, as the title suggests, arpeggiated guitar parts in a semi-engaging way. Even as the first notably decent track, it doesn't stack up with most of Radiohead's other 4-star tracks.

"Faust Arp" uses strings effectively while Thom Yorke's vocals draw you in hypnotically with a lulling regularity.

"Jigsaw Falling Into Place"'s acoustic guitar sounds quite a bit like Foo Fighter's "Everlong" but a comparison between the two songs would not be kind to "Jigsaw." It's a decent enough song, but, again, it doesn't match up to earlier Radiohead music.

Listen to me. Six months ago, I hadn't so much as listened to OK Computer, and now I'm pining for the good ol' days (aka Hail To The Thief).
