Tuesday Updates

Not too much to report today.

-Didn't feel like writing the now very overdue True Romance today, so I started watching Justice League: The New Frontier. It's not done yet, so neither is any kind of review, but, from the first 40 minutes, I can tell you it's going to be pretty positive.

-Watched the new LOST episode today. I've been worrying for awhile that I maybe don't like the show as much as I think I do, and that I watch out of loyalty and curiousity. Then this episode happened and I was leaning forward, eyes glued to the screen, wanting to soak in every second of what happened. I'm still not convinced the show is as great as we're told it is, but I will definitely be suffering some kind of chemical withdrawal when it's over.

-Also finished up the series premiere of Fringe. At first the story was feeling like an okay X-Files or Bones episode, but by the end, I was more comfortable with the fact that I would be seeing a lot of this show over the next little while. Joshua Jackson is the game-winner here, as his character gets to be the fun balance of genius and streetsmarts.

-On a sidenote almost completely unrelated to the stuff I usually talk about, I have essentially given up on Wreslting/MMA rumour site NoDQ.com. Despite the fact that there's nothing wrong with the stories they break, the advertisements have gotten completely out of hand. Lately, you have to wait while a full-page ad comes up which you have to click a "skip" button to get past. Once done with this, the formatting of the site all goes to hell. Generally, though, once you're past that initial ad-fuck, you're in the clear. Lately, though, it's been bringing up that initial ad, then once you click past it, brings up a different ad that is completely unskippable making it pretty much impossible to get into the site. I understand the need to advertise, but when it actually prevents people from accessing your content, you need to pull in the reins a little.

And that's all I've got for today.
