Thoughts:
Listening to this album brought back a lot of memories of long car trips to Québec, listening to the Canadian POTO soundtrack and Abbey Road. Listening to this version (the original cast recording), I was distracted by Michael Crawford's voice. I ended up really frustrated because I was used to the Canadian recording and Colm Wilkinson's epically intense interpretation of the Phantom. Knowing how much better these songs could be when sung by someone else, this album leaned toward being a bit of a disappointment, but overall, it is still very solid.
