The Rock-tober 2nd, 2010

Catch-phrases get tedious. If somebody says the same thing over and over again, the impact is lost quickly. The only way to maintain a catch-phrase is to provide variation upon it once the tedium sets in. This rule, of course, does not apply when talking about The Rock (or Michael Scott's "That's what she said). Every single time that I remember The Rock coming out, he always began with "Finally, The Rock has come back to " and ended with a "if you smell what The Rock is cooking." On the best days, I had the house to myself so I could chant along. On the worst, I usually still did.

The following clip is from an episode of Smackdown! leading up to a No Way Out pay-per-view. The Big Show and The Rock had just tied for victory at the Royal Rumble and the two would sort it out at No Way Out to determine who would challenge Triple H's title at Wrestlemania 2000

Now if you weren't at least mouthing along, then you are celebrating the wrong month.
